Employee test requires ESP!
    #4497605 - 08/05/05 01:17 AM (11 years, 10 months ago)

I was looking over a retail pre-employment paper screening test that a vendor wanted me to put onto computer. One of the questions was:

"Can you tell if a customer is upset, even it they show NO outward signs of being so?"

The screeners were looking for an answer of "Yes" to show your empathetic side.

If there are NO signs, ZERO signs, no FUCKING PHYSICAL CUES were present, not even subtle ones; then the potential employee MUST have telepathic powers to be able to "read" people and thus, work for minimum wage. And this here in Las Vegas. If this candidate was that perceptive, he would be at the World Series of Poker - doh!

Sorry folks, but this observer cannot make this shit up - merely report!

They just want to hear you say it, even if it doesn't mean anything.

Energy reception (extra sensory) is a wider concept that is usually associated with ESP and is thus it is much more possible that everyone does it. Ravus is right though, obviously this company doesnt mind people who would answer yes. Simpletons! Mua ha ha

no external signs, like blush, breathing etc

yet behaviour, choice of words, attitude toward things etc can tell that..

for example, an upset man can be calm, but talk a lot about how those who make crime deserve severe punishment etc, or how this is bad that is bad.
Concentrating on things of power, anger etc is a good sign that someone is frustrated deep inside.

Complains are usually a sign of some inner blockade, of frustration.

If you make a man trully happy, he will mostly not complain about anything, not even the things that would make most people complain.
Having problems with this or that mostly means you are having a problem yourself.

I'd say all of those are still external signs, and Swami's right <:)

When I applied for the job that I currently have, I had to answer a long set of questions about this or that. When I had my interview, they had a couple of them that I had to discuss why I answered the way that I did, because my answer differed in some respects from the one that they wanted.

The question was "Should we, as employers, be able to inquire into social drug use that does not effect the associate's working ability?" Something along those lines... I, of course, put no, and said that if the social drug didn't effect the working ability of the associate, then it shouldn't be of any interest to them, as it doesn't interfere with what they expect of the associate. Of course, they wanted to hear that they should be able to because it might have negative effects on their working ability... which totally contradicts the question, which says that the proposed social drug's use wouldn't effect one's work... :nut:

I considered this when I was showing up at work super stoned after lunch, climbing up ladders and handling heavy merchandise, operating power equipment with people in the direct vincinity of the equipment, or like when I showed up for work stoned at the beginning of the night, promptly got called to the management office, and received my yearly review that was full of praise and how exceptional of a worker I was....

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :satansmoking:
Peace. :mushroom2:
