Ghost?

The other night me and my girl was watching TV and one of are lights, the kind that are real tall (6ft or so) and have what looks like a bowl on top with a light bulb in it. There is a round switch that you turn to turn it on or off and it has 3 settings, one bright, one brighter and off. Well the fucking thing was on bright, we herd a click and the room got brighter, then a few seconds later it clicked again and shut off. Me and my girl looked at each other and then it clicked on again and then clicked twice and it was off again. We looked at each other again and then it turned back on... ???? WTF was that all about? I don't believe in "ghost" but this was strange and I can't explain it, and no I was not on any drugs nor was my girlfriend.

I agree...is there resistance when you try to "click" it manually?
