Icelander's proposed "Intent" rule

If this is implemented, we will have to post our reasons behind our posts. Our concepts cannot stand alone unless we fully reveal our motivations for every line we write. "Well I was improperly potty-trained at age two and therefore..."

In this way, we can focus on the people behind the thoughts rather than the thoughts themselves. (Not too much different than today. :smile:) This should bring added clarity to our alreadly muddled forum.

What thinkest thou on this matter?

I think it's totally up to the person.  If you can handle answering someones pointed questions, then do it. If you can't/won't  then that is an answer also.  :mushroom2:.

For the record, Iceman did not officially request such a rule, but I intuited that he intended the Intent rule using my mystical cognitive abilities.  :grin:

I was wanting to know why you posted something and then said to disregard it.  I felt that was baiting/trolling, and I wanted to know why you felt compelled to do it. :mushroom2: I find it curious that you choose to post like this. If it's true that you are baiting/ trolling, then I think it is appropriate to ask about it. It is againt the "rules" of this forum, right?

I think this is a great idea. It makes me think of the movies Life Aquatic and Closer.

Sometimes I let my inner idiot out and it is not a pretty sight. I try to keep him down as much as possible.
