Vision problems
    #4494481 - 08/04/05 12:43 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

I and probally like anyone reading this LOVE MUSHROOMS. I am a fairly regular user I would use them more but I try to keep everthing in moderation. I have only noticed one phisical problem after eating the fung. Dead center in my vision right where I need to be able to focus on something I have a small purple like blur that is more noticeable when my eyes are closed. I feel that I may have damaged my eyes due to the over dilation of my pupils when im high. My question is if anyone else has experianced this and should I see an optomatrist.
Thanks

Dude, I don't think it's possible to damage your pupils from over-dilation. Your eyes dilate everytime you are in darkness. And dilating the eyes is a tactic used often by optomatrists (sp). Haven't you ever had those drops put in your eye that make your pupils dilate?

Still, if you are having troubles seeing, you should really go get that checked out. Eyes are nothing to fuck around with.

Mushrooms will not do anything physically wrong to your eyes.

I think maybee he means that his eyes were damaged by the sun because his eyes were dilated.

When ever I am in a bright place and close my eyes I see all sorts of weird textures, colors, and shapes. Its possible that you damaged your eyes in the light while they were dilated but its pretty unlikely. Slow down on the shrooms, I think shrooms are more physical then we really acknowledge them to be.

The same thing happened with me. I too get the purpleness and textures since i mushed a bit ago. And when I look at something like the sky I see these weird blurs of vision or something. I think it may of been from having really dialated pupils and being in a bright area cause I was at my last mush trip and it was different than the others.

i have colors, floaters, tracers, etc frequently to but i was recently at the eye doctor to get a new prescription, and even filled out the form and checked appropriate boxes (did not mention drug use of course) and they didn't notice anything wrong with me.

it's probably just HPPD and it will go away in time.... or maybe your "third eye" is opening, or maybe your chemicals are messed up from too much drugs.

I don't think it's something to worry about honestly.... doctors aren't as helpful as you think they are, now if the eyes are PHYSICALLY damanged then it would do a world of good to visit (but i don't see how they would be) but if you tell them you've been shrooming they may start meddling or force you to take medicine or something that is really unnecessary and something that nature will correct on its own in time.

just follow your instincts though, if you feel you should go, then do that.

i just kind of feel like doctors are ready to turn just about anything into a disease or a problem... but if it really bothers you then get them looked at to be safe.
