Welcome to the Shroomery, bustabus.
1. What may seem "very similar" to you, mostly means "widely different" to mushroom experts. Don't expect an id of your finds based on photographs of totally different specimens (and probably species). 2. You're providing images of two different species. Which one did your finds resemble?
If you wan't your finds to be id-ed, please follow the guidelines you can find on the top of this forum. I recommend you read them.

you are not providing enough information for anyone to help you ID them. odds are they are not what you think they are though.

OK here goes: I found it in my backyard, I looked up actives on this site and found an almost perfect match to my mushroom, I basically have it narrowed down to the p. subb and p. foe (I think its p. foe, the 2 that can be confused) The gills are dark brown ish with white on the sides... Cap is a fawn like color in the middle (a ring around the middle) with a spot on the top and a dark brown ring that goes to the gills... It looks just like the ones in the pictures but smaller these ones are like the size of a thumbnail (caps) or maybe a bit bigger... they are a bell shaped sort of, and are drying to a white-ish color...

due to the growth in grass it sounds more like panaeolina foenisecii to me. despite reports to the contrary, said species is inactive.
in any case, pan subbs and pan foens can be told apart by spore print color, appearance and growth habit:

Pictures would be helpful here. I mean, we can try to go off just by what you are saying, but generally that information is biased and is in a way being made to look more like what you want it to be possibly.
I find _all_ of my subbs in grassy lawns, so I wouldnt rule that out. Oh, foes are not poisonous though, however I hear some people get some mild stomach cramps from it. Still, I wouldnt eat it anyway until a more certain ID is obtained.
The spore print of these can be really easy to confuse, especially if you didnt take the print for 4 hours or longer. Getting pictures would help us make a certain ID.
Lastly, here are some questions! What color is the stem? Is there anything on the stem where it meets the cap / gills? Are the gills close together or not? Is there anything of note on the stem? How low below the cap do the gills hang, if at all?

OK i dont have a camera... but the stems are dark with a red-blue color to them in places... the spore print was well over 4 hours and is black... but i noticed on a lot of them that the gills come below the cap but i was wondering if this is just cuz they are small... as far as the gills i wouldn't know for sure what to compare close together and far apart... but if i had to make an educated guess i would say that they are close together... and the stems are too small to see the lines in the stem...

Wow, how about you get off your lazy ass and do some research on this site or go buy a fucking camera. Your mushrooms can not be successfully ID'ed by ANYONE with the little information you gave. Oh and by the way id say theres a 95 percent chance that your mushrooms aren't active so you can eat 17 pounds if you desire and you wont trip. Post pics and more info or throw them away.

Well i might be an asshole, but im an asshole that has cubes right now. So you keep your little useless foes, and in the future properly follow the rules if you really want your mushrooms IDed correctly. Well i guess im gonna go kill myself now. Later.

Reason:
way to get your thread locked.
you should listen to the above poster though, as everything said was correct, albeit a little harsh .
don't eat mushrooms if you don't know what they are. i don't care if they're just pan foens, it's an ignorant, foolhardy thing to do.
