does dramamine affect your trip in any way? ie side effects. last time I tripped at the beginning i got really dizzy and heaved but didnt throw up. it would be nice to avoid that part..

Well it's a mild sedative so it could make you a little sleepy, but at normal on-the-label doses it shouldn't do much else.

I hate dramamine and may be all the anticholinergics! They make me sick!

Drugs must be a food for the soul, not for the ego!

If by "trip" you mean have very vivid visuals of things that aren't there, without the ability to distinguish them from reality, then yes, dramamine will make you trip. I have done this once (a chapter of my misspent youth, or something like that). It isn't particularly pleasant, but it is an interesting experience. As I recall, Erowid has a fairly thorough FAQ....

If you're looking for an herbal alternative, I gather the experience is qualitatively very similar to the tropane alkaloids (i.e. datura, belladonna, mandrake, henbane, brugmansia). These aren't something which are particularly safe to approach lightly or recreationally, but are probably very rewarding with the right preparation and setting.

He's not talking about tripping on dramamine, he's talking about taking dramamine before tripping on something else to reduce nausea.
