Hmm, I thought i was in heaven, I moved to hawaii, and there's these mushrooms that grow down the road. I decided to trip some this morning, and then I was supposed to go do some work at this guys house, and all in all it really sucked, It was bad trip but I'm not sure why or anything. I'm pretty shook up, don't want to do mushrooms any more.

Bad trips happen sometimes, just like bad days. Maybe it was because you had to work? Anyway I don't think you should give up shrooms, just think of all the good times you've had with them. Just take a small dose next time and have a light trip that you know won't be hard to maintain. If you think hard about it you can figure out why this trip was bad and different from other ones.

huh, thanks gluke. It seems like things go fine, and all of the sudden it just comes tumbling down, like the smallest little negative thought just sucked me in. I can seem to figure out, yet, why things went bad. actually, i'm not even sure why it was bad. thanks though! love ya!

I can relate. You probably eat too much, under estimated the stength or had some shit on your mind before tripping. Thats been my expirence anyway.

Problem was you ate shrooms when you had other things you were supposed to do that day(work). Try and pick better timing for your trips! The anxiety that comes from unwanted situations whilst tripping is the worst and can easily lead to bad expierences.

Shit yo, sounds like you didnt have the right mindset to be tripping maybe? I'd agree with everyone else thats posted here too, who wants to work while your shrooming? Even though anything feels good, the stress would be no fun.

Trip /after/ you get your work for the day done, not before The nagging 'I need to do XYZ' in the back of your head, may bring up other thoughts along with it.
Generally, before I trip, I'll
- Study for any upcomming tests/quizzes - Do a /huge/ homework session to get as much work out of the way as possible - Clean my appartment - Make sure I have nothing due comming up, and re-confirm this
By having my plate clean of responsabilities, it allows me to enjoy my trip that much more.

lol, I remeber my first time doing LSD at home (first two times being at an outdoor rave, and another at canadas wonderland).
The mess in my kitchen drove me nuts - I tried to clean it, only to discover what a futile effort this was, and gave up on it.
Also at about, 6 hours into the trip, I figured "Ok, I'm bored of tripping - lets try and do homework!"
that didnt pan out so well :P
But, I find when tripping on shrooms or LSD, the mess/filth/grime in my appartment just becomes 100x more apparent, and will start to aggervate me after awhile. Been a few times I've attempted to clean while tripping to no sucess.
so now, I'll be sure to do all the cleaning before hand - the grime factor is still there, but not nearly as bad.

When i had my bad trip i woke up at 4 the next morning to get on a 26 hour greyhound bus to colorado. my friends said i looked like i had died and had the everloving shit beaten out of me then ressurected and beaten senseless and had many horrible thigns done to me. i said "I am never doing those fucking thiungs again !! ever!! mark my words!!!." by the end of the 1 week vascation of mountain biking, rock climbinjg, and whitewater rafting with good friends i was eager and ready to take more shrooms that i had in my safe ( ui had like 12 grams) so i took 4 grams witha friend who was doing them for his first time we both had an absolute blast and were extremely happy i decided to use them.

Nice recommendations Kaniz, the responsibility stuff is a must.

that last post reminded me of something I had written down while on 2g's alone in my room playing guitar after managing to get a grip on what seemed like would turn into 6 hours of chaos but turned into SUCH an awarding trip. I had been playing guitar when suddenly the thought his me "Life is only as you remember it". At the time it seemed like this was the key to everything and it was slowly fading away, I raced desperately to find a pen and something to write on so I wouldn't forget it and at one point had to just stop and think for awhile because parts of that sentence were disappearing from my mind and I had to put it back together again. I've still got a sticky note stuck to my computer monitor that reads (in very shakey writting with letters out of porportion to eachother) "Life is only as you remember it ". Probably one of the more significant realizations I've come to on shrooms.
I guess what I'm trying to say is try to approach your bad trip with that sort of mentality, no matter how horrible you felt at the time, try to find at least one good thing that you got out of the experience and be grateful for it, rather than disappointed about everything else. Personally I've found that reffering back to that quote while tripping often helps me turn a would-be bad-trip around into an amazing experience. Some of my favourite trips were spent nausious, curled up, unnable to move and shivering, still didn't let it distract me from all the good things that I was able to get out of the situation though.

Canada's Wonderland, that place trips me out nowadays. I used to work there one summer and I got fired because I a bitch slapped these 3 kids for trying to fuck with the fish near the CocaCola:CoolZone That obviously pissed me off, so the last weekedn of Aug. I went back with the boys and tripped out on acid. When I went by the fish feeding bridge, I spiraled into this bad place, the whole flashback of the incident. But like an hour later DropZone brought me back on my happy feet. Overall, I dunno about tripping out on psychedelics there again, place was weird, you can feel some fucked up vibes from some weirded out people man.

I visisted Canada not too long ago and managed to swing by Wonderland... and I must say, the Coca-Cola: Cool Zone wasn't cool at all. That mist sucked, was still hot as hell. Fun times, tho. But there's no possible way you could get me to trip there.
-------------------- "I smoke chronic, pop speed, get drunk, throw up, wake up in the dump, with some of my lunch covering the front of my sweater, smellin of skunk, deader than fuck and still ever ready for drugs I won't hesitate to take em, I hate my life, I won't ever make you wait, shit I'll take my pipe and load it up, with the ripest nugs I sight and puff 'till the night turns to light, I'm the type to steal prescriptions just to feel so twisted, I can't feel my skin tissue or limbs, witness my vision's when it's shifting, bless me quick or catch my head spinning like the Exorcist No, I don't ever wanna come down from this, escape is everything I ever wanted. This place is where I go to get away from all of this, take me home again."

The majority of Canada's youth sucks... All I can say
(Aye, and before anyone gets mad, not saying this out of lack of knowledge, that statement was based off an entire life time being, and tolerating the youth here, maybe it's the same situation in other countries as well, but they still suck)
