My Theory to What Happens When we Die...

Well so there are many different believes on what happens when we die, Ive never really agreed on there being a greater being and having a path "such as god, going to heaven or hell". My believes are more specific towards the buddhist believes. Some of your mite believe that when we die we go to nirvana and never experience life again, but wait if we experience nirvana when we die what did we experience before we were born??? When we die is it possible that we be born again? One of my friends has a good theory that when you die "YOU SEE THE WHITE LIGHT" and that white light is you being reborn back into the world as another organism. I think that is a very cool theory of his and I think its very possible. We need to stop looking at things as things. Many people believe that they are humans observing the world as it ALREADY is. But that is not necessarily true, there is no way to see what the world really is because there is no way to get out of our reality producing brains. The world could be one big connected hologram with currents of bits of energy that we project as THINGS in our perception. When we die we could simply connect with another energy of "living organism", or grass or tree or cloud or whatever. We become the energy that surrounds us, we become what is newly born. So when we die we don't really die, we never die, there is no such thing as death...

I think that you can't exist without your brain. Once you die and your brain "dies" then you no longer exist. At that point it doesn't really matter how long it takes (not like you can sense time when your tool for doing such doesn't exist anymore) but I believe, eventually, parts of your being (your atoms basically) will be reconstructed into plenty different beings and possibly many different brains. You are a conposition of many "dead" beings that lived before you.
Thats why we are all connected... to everything. We can't die because matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be reconstructed into different chemicals and such. Technically we are not dying, we are recycling

well, what about a light shining through a slide
the picture, the experience of self, cannot exist without the slide... true
but when the slide dissolves, what's left of the light?

While one is dead (the slide is removed) one cannot experience existance (light). This doesn't mean that the world no longer exists, just that this one person can no longer experience it (the slide--his body--has been removed). However, parts of this original brain/body (the slide) will be recycled into other beings until at one instant they will experience self-conciousness again (some animal, possibly only humans). At this point the slide has been replaced and the light can be seen again. Although the light never stopped existing, we stopped being able to sense it.

My theory is that when we die, we go back to what we were before we were conceived. In other words, we return to that eternity of nothingness where we cease to exist except in the imaginations and memories of others.

One way to see it is you stay on the dimension you are on. When people die they don't die. When people die in your life they just leave the reality you are in but they continue on the pathway they are on. They don't think they have died but your paths are no longer going in the same direction.

Whatever happens at death is pointless to consider. Why waste one's life worrying about death instead of living life? Worry about now and death will take care of itself.

I meant 'light' as in undefined awareness, consciousness, "soul", whatever.
The slides are the physical 'vessels' for this, all of course very impermanent, and really all connected (like a sponge )
Now of course this is hypothetical... but I'd go so far as to say everything is.

I was about to point this out. A theory should be able to make testable predictions based on observable phenomena. This is merely speculation.

Seems we can never even get past the basics here.
We should have a training forum where folks learn the rudimentary terms and definitions, and if you pass a test, you get to graduate to the advanced forum.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this IS the training forum! When you pass your test, the terms and conditions of which you are not allowed to know, you will be given a new password which takes you to the advanced forum.
I, of course, am here in an instructional capacity. Though exactly WHAT I am teaching cannot be revealed prior to your achieving advanced status.

I am an enforcer for the top-secret advanced forum, and now because you even revealed it's existence and forced me to expose my true identity; your privileges will be revoked for an indeterminate time.
