Help identify this mushroom
    #4490176 - 08/03/05 02:15 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

I found a large yellow sponge like fungus growing on a spruce tree. I'll try to post a photo with this - anybody know what it is? The strip is in centimeter blocks.

I've seen a few Laetiporus this year with that same pinkish/purplish coloration.

Truly a beatiful mushroom and a good edible too
