Oh yeah, I completely forgot! When I worked as a bartender at a resort, like half the Philadelphia Flyers came in and rented out the bar one night. We knew they were coming, and made jokes all day about missing teeth and mullets. Then, they get there.... and most of them had missing teeth and/or mullets! They weren't as arrogant as I expected them to be; they were actually really fun.

Scott Thompson is NOT a pseudo celebrity, dammit!
If I saw any of the Kids in the Hall I'd be ecstatic, what a cast of characters.

I would count Scott Thompson as real. I used to hang out with this lady I worked with who dated George Strombolopolous.
One time I saw Tie Domi, and the skinny black guy who used to be on the Polka Dot Door when I was little.

Yea I too would say Scott Thompson is a celebrity, I just remembered seeing him and threw it in there too. Kids In The Hall is an amazing show, but I don't think I'd ever go up to a celebrity and ask for autographs or anything. It just seems so lame, and you know they don't want to be bothered walking around in public. I'd have to say Bruce McCulloch is definetly my favourite actor out of them too, electrode. I love the latch key kid.

I used to work at like this shitty indoor amusement park place, and I met like all the Utah Jazz and their wives and kids. Karl Malone's wife is one hot lady. But holy shit those guys are TALL.

bahaha Mankind, my 'friend' is in love with that guy, he tries so hard to look like him its hilarious. Speaking of conventions, I saw Tracy Lords at some sci-fi convention a few years ago. All the sci-fi nerd were lined up to get her autograph, and half of the people selling stuff there kept offering me under the table Tracy Lords underage pornos.

One time I saw a guy who looked EXACTLY like 50 cent, but he was working at the cell phone booth at the mall in London, so I'm guessing it wasn't him.
One time when I was walking on Yonge St. with blinkidiot, I saw Natasha from Daily Planet.
I know I've seen a couple other celebrities, but I can't think of them right now. When you're in downtown Toronto, you run into them now and then.
Oh, and my dad used to work with Dan Aykroyd in the Northwest Territories in the early 70s.

Yea you do see quite a few walking around downtown. I can't stand Natasha from daily planet. The faces she makes... the accent... i don't completely know why but I am thoroughly repulsed by her.
Oh shit I forgot all about it. I met pretty much the entire cast of Degrassi. I was at the Jonovision Degrassi Reunion, I think everyone was there but Wheels. I also saw Royal Canadian Air Farce live in studio. I don't like the show, and could care less about meeting any of the cast, but they had Red Green in the studio as well. Red Green makes me laugh.

I'd agree, Natasha is not a desirable woman, but she's at least respectable. Just pretend she's a dude and it's all good.
I saw that episode of Jonovision.
Air Farce is quite possibly the worst show on Canadian television. It's a complete embarassment. Canadians tend to pride themselves in their humor, and the Royal Canadian Air Farce is almost like a flagship comedy show for the CBC, but it has to be some of the worst shit they've ever put out.
How come it stays on the air but Twitch City got cancelled so quickly? Why does everyone know of Air Farce, but so few watch the Newsroom?
The show is like a disfiguring benign tumor on the face of the CBC. It won't spread, but every time you cut it off it just grows back and dangles there, pulsating purplish green, the skin dry and cracking open, leading to constant infection and the sickly sweet smell of decomposing flesh.
God I hate the Air Farce.

great description. Air Farce really is horrible. The comedy network seems to be producing a lot of fucking shitty comedy shows as well and calling it the greatest canadian comedy ever made. It's truely embarrassing.
I can't believe you mentioned Twitch City. That show was great! I only know like 3 people who actually knew about it/watched it. They really ought to bring it back.
On a side note about the Degrassi reunion, do you happen to remember the guy who asked Mr Radich (the principal, was that his name?) if he would be his dad? That was my friends brother. He looks high as fuck, we all got super ripped before we went in there.

The Comedy Network really needs to get its shit together. Comedy Inc is pretty much just Air Farce with people young enough to know better. Odd Job Jack seems like it has potential 'cause Don McKellar is cool, but every time I've tuned in I've been bored with it. I've never watched an entire episode so I can't say for sure. Robson Arms is vaguely funny... it kind of reminds me of old Canadian TV like the Beachcombers or something, but I don't feel compelled to watch it at all. Corner Gas is better than your average sitcom, but that's not saying much.
You'd think that if you put together a cable network devoted to comedy you'd try and get some people together who knew funny when they saw it, but they just don't.
I really want to get my hands on some episodes of Twitch City. It would be great if they at least released a DVD.
The Newsroom is a really great show. They've put the first season on Rogers On Demand, so I've been watching a bit of that recently. A lot of people don't seem to know about it either, they did another season of it this past year, but hardly promoted it at all. Instead they spent all this time promoting that mockumentary show about the hockey parents... which sounded funny when I heard people describing the idea, but when I actually watched the show it was completely lame.
There are people with good ideas here, and sometimes they even get to make shows for a while, but the executives at the CBC and the Comedy Network are so out of touch they waste their time on terrible shit. If they put their focus on the right things, they'd probably end up making money by exporting shows to the US, like Showcase is with the Trailer Park Boys.
Instead they waste their time with terrible, stale sketch comedy like Air Farce and Comedy Inc.

I met Sinbad at Disneyland
Various sports players, my dad was rich when I was growing up and I got to sit in reserved box seats and stuff like that.
This isn't a psuedo-celeb by any means, but Mario Lemieux was skating around on the ice with his kid (he rented the whole thing I guess?) right before my hockey team went out to practice. That was pretty humbling.

I did a shoot with the model/actress who is now in the new doritos pepperjack commercial. The one where she walks up to the guy and kisses him just to taste the doritos. She is horrible at memorizing lines.

LOL! I met Jimmy once at Canada's Wonderland, back when Breaker High was fairly popular.
He had like 6 different colours of hair dye on his head, so he was pretty noticeable. A friend I was with shouted out "HEEEEY JIMMY! GOT ANY WEEEEEED?" as a joke, then he (Jimmy) came over to us laughing. He thought my friend was hilarious for just shouting that in the middle of a crowded park
