Invirto Growing

Ok, I just want to double check to make sure I got it all straighten out. I am getting about 12-24 1/2 pink jars with screw lids. I will follow the PF Tek (http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/7919/pag/2) up till the fruiting part. Instead I will turn the jars upside down and add a small amount of light (LED light???) for maybe 30 minutes a day. Not opening the jars, and just leave them alone. When the mushroom caps seperate, harvest. And between adding the spores and the "fruiting" stage, they will be in a dark trunk.

Am I missing anything, or any extra advice. I am getting my equiptment ready to start in a few weeks.

Also, any reccomendations on what strain to use, I've heard good things from Hawaian. And any idea of the expected dry yield from them?

sounds like you have a handle if invitro is what you want to do.
go to the advanced cultivation forum, and read the coffee tek.
PESH is a good strain, as are EQ, SA, KS, Allen, and all the rest for that matter.
even PR fruits invitro.
as for yields,  you tell us how you do.
hint; try a few different substrates. Bobs Redmill 10 grain cereal for example .

experimenting is half the fun of this hobby

I am not sure if anybody has had good results with coffee in PF BRF jars. You should give the jars light from the very start to induce pinning as early as possible, even if they start to pin while not 100% colonised, by the time they are ready for harvest they should be colonised.
I have read up a good bit on invitro growing and the best strain seems to be texan. I am growing texan myself at the moment.
