casing question
    #4486686 - 08/02/05 09:04 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Would it make any difference in yields or likelyhood of contams if i cased in several smaller containers rather than 1 or 2 larger ones?

definitely as far as likelihood of contamination goes youre better off with smaller casings, that way if you get to the contaminted one fast enough, the rest will be fine. hopefully u wont have to worry about contams anyway. theres a post somewhere in the faqs that a guy made experimenting with different sized casings and yield ratios, i just dont feel like finding it sorry. seems like he may have yielded more with the smaller casings, but dont quote me on that.

I'll be starting my first casing as well.  I had this question also and I figured I'd just use smaller pans.  Good luck and post some pics when they're done .
