"Breeders"
    #4485830 - 08/02/05 04:46 PM (12 years, 1 month ago)

This is a term I am thoroughly tired of hearing.

In my town, there is a large group of environmental activist/neo-hippie/trust-fund babies who flaunt their "greener-than-thou" attitude about parents by sneering "breeder" as though it describes everything that is wrong with society today.

When I had the temerity to put forth my belief that a few conscious parents, raising conscious children, might actually contribute to the future of our society. (Whereas a future generation composed entirely of trailer trash might not.)  The little dread-locked, barefoot, living-off-his-parents-cash guy told me that my "dogma was showiing"!

anyone can be snarky
ask them what they have created lately.
snarkiness is only good if it's entertaining
otherwise it sucks.

The hippie generation has failed society and their country beyond measure. Soon they will die out and we can all hope that they followed their "breeder" mentality to the grave so no more of their genes will infect this world.

Well, the "breeder" thing sounds thoroughly stupid, but I don't see how the entire hippie generation has "failed society and their country", that sounds about as dumb as calling parents "breeders".

A few things about hippies:

1) I always befriend hippies when I'm out of weed.

2) Hippies don't know how to enjoy themselves around firearms.

3) Bad hygiene is not sexy.

Well, I could go on and on, but honestly its neat you brought up the SUV thing. My comment was mainly to show my disgust with the generation, not just based on general hating, but on the philosophy that has lingered like their bad oder over the years.

I am not quite sure their philosophy can be defined, because even they don't know... but it can be exemplified by SUV's quite nicely. They hate SUVs because they use more gas then their little cars. But they fail to hate themselves when they see someone riding a bike. They need to start hating themselves.

SUVs are just big mobile cages for the breeder's puppies.

The hippies are not just a generation, and they are a different from each other as Snoop Dogg is different from Jethro Tull. Stereotypes are the things that *should* die out.

Every subculture has a bunch of people with stupid hypocritical opinions. Hippies are just one of them. There are hippies who are smart, and hippies who are stupid. There are hippies that are very clean, and there are hippies that smell like ass and patchouli.

sorry, I don't really like it when people have kids either.

I don't like it when kids are running around in public places, fucking shit up. I don't like it when they yell in movie theaters. And I don't like the fact that my tax money goes to their education. And I really hate slowing down for school zones. Not to mention the fact that the more people we have on earth, the higher the people/resource ratio goes, which means there's less resources for me just because some idiot doesn't know how to use a condom. Not to mention that 'family men' tend to get better jobs simply out of pity for the fact that 'he has mouths to feed'.

People love to reward eachother for fucking up. Seriously, when I graduated college, my dad gave me a $100 satellite radio and a pat on the back. A friend of mine from high school fucks up and knocks some girl up and his parents buy him a house for his new family, despite the fact that he has accomplished nothing in his life and is generally a screwup.

I dont really have a problem with the existence of children, I just wish parents would keep them out of my face, take responsibility for them, and pay for their upbringing out of their pockets, and not mine.

You're one bitter motherfucker.

Do kids from poor families deserve a worse education than kids from rich families? Does a kid deserve to have a worse life because his parents are irresponsible?

Where did you hear there was a shortage of resources?

ive herd this term recently myself....but the jist i got from it is that "breeders" are different than those imforned people that have kids. "breeders" tend to be the ones who have like 3 kids by different dads and shit like that...the ones who are making no contribution to the future by haveing these kids.
