Well If I can have more without working for it at a job I don't like, or it doesn't come at anyone elses expense (relatively). Things such as this. Like I would love a more comfortable home with land attached, for hiking and fishing and for the kids to play. But for me to get it the cost is too high. So not needing it is preferable. I am satisfied with much less than the average person here. But I "need" much less than I have. Overall I guess I would say it is much better to know the cost/benefit breakdown between needs and wants. Balance.

Neither... I live a simple life with what is provided.

Being without need is what is important, it doesnt matter if you have a lot or little. Work as hard as never to need more energy and be content with what that gets you.

there is a thin line between need and want. You need what you want.

But you are complicating this thing. I ment in general, would you prefer a life filled with things that endulge your wishes over and over again, or would you prefer not to have those needs at all.

A wish is not the same as a need.
I know exactly what my primal needs are and I get quite angry, if their satisfactions were taken from me from any human, becasue that brings my life in danger, which would be fruitfull without the most humans, too.
But my wishes could go into infinite and I can't blame anybody for not getting them.
The needs should be granted to everyone, but if one wishes, things look different.

You seem to think someone owes you your existance, like you MUST have food enough to survive. This need of yours to survive is just another wish. It can be granted and it can not be.
Why would anyone be obligated to provide you with means of keeping yourself alive?

Your "need" for food is not of higher priority than your wish to have a TV, unless you make it. Both can be described as either needs or wishes.

Currently, I need 1 thing. Resources to sustain my body for survival.

So yea, have 1 less thing to need, would be very handy.

No, If someone refuses to give me right food, for an equal regift, i will go to the forest and hunt or I will fish in the lakes or something like that, because no human has invented the animals in the forest or the fishes in the lakes.
If someone claims to possess this natural source, my indian understanding will go crazy, at least if i am very hungry and he must be lucky that I wont do hima any harm.

I can't go out to find a 'grown' TV anywhere.

That is the primal difference.

I respect humans and stuff made by humans, but things g*d made for everyone (like food, water, air and place) should not be used (by humans) to bring pressure on (other) humans, because those like me will go totally mad and wild on this ! I think, that is some prime evil.
And that is, what I spoke out here so often...

When does finally everyone realise, what some humans want to play on us ?

(sorry, no so relaxed )

what does this have to do with the difference between needs and wishes?

You are saying that things that you need grow in nature, and things that you want are made by man. Well gold "grows" in nature, ye by your definition, you don't need it

Hehe, I asked me the same question.
Answer: needs are primal, wishes are secondary.
Needs don't develop into our minds as wishes first, they develop as 'desires', better 'demands' Strongly linked to our survival.

Wishes arrive from conceptual patterns of imagined wellbeeing, not directly linked to survival

edit: It is extremliy dangerous to mix the concepts of wishing and needing

a need is a choose, a choose is intent, our intent is the action. and it cannot be changed, for it changes... in the change of it..

if you need to breath, it may be because you think you have to sustain your body with 'air' and do. But you could be dead.. :P

Hmm..perhaps need and wish can result in the same visible output, called greed ?
Needy greed is natural; the wishy greed some kind of shit, haha
But to remix it with buddhism, all desires should be contemplated about

I will blow everyones mind who puts the greed of food of a starving person on the same importance as an arabic prince who greeds for his special high breed race horces.

Ok, needs are primal. I agree with that, but wishes are as involuntary as needs. For example, you wish some woman/man, and you need some food. You don't deserve food any more than you deserve the woman, or a yacht or your own company. If you can find food good, and if you can find a way to own a company, again good for you, but life does not owe you any of it

that is exactly what I was saying.

You don't NEED to breathe, there is an alternative, and it is sufication. It is unpleasant, but pleasure does not determine what you aught to have and not.

Greed is just greed. The only thing that greed makes you is a greedy man. It does not draw any more things with it.

A man that kills is just a killer, there rest is up to other people to attach to him (asshole, bastard, immoral man, sinner etc)

No, I deserve that, what man has not laid hand on before ))))

(sorry, literal speaking, I hope you get the triple-mirror-perspective)
