Interview in less then two hours
    #4484472 - 08/02/05 09:01 AM (11 years, 4 months ago)

I'm very nervous.  I can't stand interviews.

It's only 7-11 but still.  I need a job.  Desperately.

If you're willing to work graveyard I don't see how you could miss.

"I didn’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was (positioned)," Newton told reporters in Charlotte on Tuesday. "It could have been contorted in a way. You say my effort? I didn’t dive down. I fumbled - that’s fine. That’s fine. We didn’t lose the game because of that fumble.”

I'm nocturnal anyway...

but I heard that 7-11 doesn't let women work from 12am - 4am because of safety concerns. (Heard this from my girlfriend who works there)

She's wrong. It may be one manager's preference but it's not a national policy. They'd be setting themselves up for discrimination suits.

I've yet to see a woman working in a sevee-levee during those hours. I'm sure they can't make it a policy but they can certainly refuse to schedule those hours.

I feel so...blah.  Why am I freaking out?  What's the huge deal?  It's just an interview.  I know what to do in interviews.

Maybe part of me is scared that I'll get the job.

Show them what you're made of girl!  Selling yourself sucks, but even if it is just 7-11, it's money, it's experience, it's a start :sunny:

To beat those nerves. When you walk into that interview, think about our first convo in OTD. Eat them alive.

I'd either impress them with my bravado or be escorted off the premises by a security guard.

I said think about it, no need for you to re-enact the story. Believe me, thinking of something humorous will kill any nervous feelings.

If you walk into that interview with a smile on your face you're half way home. First impressions do count.

I'm leaving in 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I did laundary but didn't do the RIGHT load of laundary so the only shirt I have is my husband's blue polo that's about 2 sizes too big.

Oh well. I'm wearing it.
