THE INCREDIBLE GRAIN STRAIN AND DRAIN!
    #4484344 - 08/02/05 06:46 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

I have not actually done this. But,,, I am working on the best way to strain huge amounts of birdseed at a time. I was curious to see what contraptions all you folks have devised. I currently use two buckets. Stacked inside one and other the top bucket holds the birdseed and the water drains through hols I have drilled in the bottom. This does not work as well as I need it to.

My next plan consists of a big rubbermaid tub with window sreen material dipped down about half way. I think I'll be able to rinse, strain and drain a whole big ass bag of birdseed at once. Plus it wont take umpteen hours to drain cause' of the large surface area of the screen. Any ideas?

ASK ME! about wholesale parcels of raw stones, gems, ect! Deals for the homies here! Also ask me about legal nationwide cbd cancer medicine. My moms friend, a doctor, just moved his whole family to colorado, so his epileptic son could get this tincture, and flies to GA, every week for work, when he could have used this, just in fear of losing his medical license there!

Best deal is to shop around (Target - KMart) for 1 or 2 of these screen type wastepaper baskets. About $9.95 each

You can also go to a prospecting supply store and get screens in various sizes that are made to fit into 5 gal buckets to classify gold bearing gravels, but work nicely with birseed and rye.

There are prospecting supply stores? :whoa:  Are these usually in strip malls w/ the KwikStop Pirate Shop?

As far as water collecting in mesh trashcans, the one sitting next to me here has holes all around, including the bottom, tho I've never used it to drain birdseed (mostly I just put my trash in there).
