Why are they not growing?

This is my first time growing mushrooms, and when one of the jars were already done, i went on to the second step. It's been about five days now [July 27th] since i made the two containers for fruiting, and it seems like nothing is happening! Why is this?

What i did was split 1 jar that was 1 pint into two containers of vermiculite/crumbled cake/moist vermiculite [sterilized] and then put saran wrap with airholes on top. Also, ive been misting it with a spray bottle for the past 2 days, and still nothing is happening.

just relax.
it takes time.

just make sure u did all the right steps.
sometimes when u break up a cake it has to recover, kind of like connecting back
together or some shit.

The only thing that i AM doing is misting it with a spray bottle twice a day..Im using the 'poor mans terrarium' or something like that.  :confused:

You should have kept the containers at incubation temps until you saw some myc poking through the casing. Make sure that your temps are dropped down into the fruiting range. Don't over mist or you will get contams, make sure you are fanning every couple hours and be patient. They will come.
