Salvia growing.
    #4482009 - 08/01/05 07:40 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

For my birthday (July 29th) my mother got me Salvia Quaranitica because it is apparently a humingbird attracting plant. I was just thinking whether this plant is smokeable and whether i would get a high from it. If anyone knows can you let me know. thank :P

I very much doubt so. As far as I know, salvia divinorum is the one that has salvinorin a.

No, it doesn't have any salvinorin A.

However, if you don't kill the other sage you'll probably be able to
grow a salvia D. plant of your own. Order a cutting off of the interweb
while they're still hot!

Not necessarily. Salvia Divinorum is kinda tricky to grow... it requires a lot of specific conditions. My mom grows a type of salvia called "Red Sally" (don't know the scientific name), and if I put my div's into those conditions, they'd be wilted black piles of mush in an hour.

The point: Different salvias, different conditions.
