The first one is a Leccinum. To identify it further we need to know what kind of trees was it growing under (aspens or pines?) and the bruising reactions. Cut it in half vertically and scrape the inside with your knife edge hard enough to bruise the tissue, then watch the color changes. Leccinum species often have 2 or three color changes, so keep watching.

The second one is a Cortinarius. Is the cap slimy or sticky? What color were the gills when it was young, before the spores matured and turned them rusty brown?

Happy mushrooming!

Thanks Toxic =)
The second one was a bit sticky.... I wouldn't say slimy though....
Gills seemed to have a purple tint to 'em aside from the spore coloration.
I'll be sure to check out the bruising next time I find one of the bigger guys.... It was actually growing underneath of a bush.... the area has lots of pines and aspens... not exactly sure which were closer.
Thanks for getting me down to the genus!!
