I must say that I would recommend waiting until your friend is symptomless. Just because - any discomfort that the cold causes you whle shrooming can be very unpleasant. You're really much better off waiting until you're at peak health.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

^^^^What OneMoreRobot3021 said.

If your nose or throat started to feel tickly or get a bit clogged during the trip, that could be pretty horrible. Once when I wasn't sick and was coming up on some shrooms, I got a tickle in my throat. I started to fight to breathe because it felt like my throat was closing up.

I finally had to calm down and hold my hand over my mouth to feel that there was lots of air coming out, so I knew it was all just in my head. Then the feeling went away very quickly.
