3 years ago i had an old premier sold it made a mistake and bought Yamaha Rydeen had it a month sold it bought a Stage Custom added to it then went out and bought a practice kit yesterday. An Ion 5 piece i need some skins and i can use my good hardware and cymbals, so now i'm sitting on 11 drums in total excluding my bongos. The Ions flimsy to say the least and the hardware would bring tears of laughter to your eyes, the cymbals seen more strength in a sheet of A4 paper but it's good for leaving at our rehersal room.

new kit

The stage custom is a nice kit! Love the grain under the green.

How's the ion snare sound? I played a Pearl travel kit a few years ago and, though it was cheap, I thought the 13" snare sounded great! I alternated using it and my Pork Pie snare there for a while, 'til I lost them both in a fire...
