never seen this before *PICS*

I have never seen this before, It just looks like hard white micellium chuncks at the bottom to alomst half the way up the stem. Strain is Ecuador fruiting on rye cased with plain verm. Any ideas?

My guess is, it is hard white mycelum chunks.

I don't know if this helps, but I have seen that happen when the mushroom encounters resistance,such as side of terrarium,other mushrooms,etc.
