question on cakes

Can i use 8oz jars with brf and take the cakes made from brf & verm. and cast them instead of using the PFTEK TECHNIQUES
am just wondering if this would work?

what?
do you mean use the jar as a mold and then let it colonize outside of the jar?
if that is the case then i would say no. what a mess you would have on your hands, cakes falling apart, contams everywhere.
the jars hold the cakes together until the myc colonizes and holds it together. it also serves as a barrier to keep contams from your cake.

what are you meaning by casting it?
do you mean birthing the cake to fruit? what?

lol,,,,ya thats what i mean,,,,,lets say i had 12 8oz jars fully colonized and was going to fruit them on perlite but decieded i wanted to case them with the 50/50+ casing layer would this work?
