Good Huntin' On Sunday
    #447812 - 11/05/01 04:39 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

Sorry, no pics, but a good day relatively quick in Seattle for me yesterday. Found six real good shaggy parasols - three were HUGE - which should make for some good eatin' tonight. Also a number of good boletes for the saute pan.

Oh, and shouldn't forget the nice little cluster of cyans. They were older and so the caps have uplifted a bit. Very big though (approx 2 inches across on the largest cap). I'm happy they were fully mature as I think the spores had every opportunity to drop and make more mushies for next season.

I also found five specimens of some kind of psilocybe I can't ID. Definitely a "hit" on finding - bruising blue, correct spore print, yada yada. Thing is, the caps are WAY fleshier than anything I've seen before. No wavy margins like a cyan, no ring so not a stuntzi, definitely not a lib, don't look like any baeo pictures I've seen...what the hell are these things? Wish I had my camera handy to share a pic with everybody.

Season definitely ain't over - far from it.

Sounds like you had a damn good day :) Found free food for thought and stomach :)

Maybe the unidentified are possibly Ps. cyanofibrillosa? But they don't look that meaty in the cap to me, so probably not.....Hmmmm, interesting find.
