no shit! i saw that commercial last night and it made me think of this thread.
they should have stayed on drugs, then maybe they all would have OD'd and i'd never have to hear that commercial.

Isn't it funny how bands start to really suck after they quit doing drugs? Why, I believe Megadeth could still be a decent band today instead of the goofy shitty band they are if Dave would have just kept filling his veins with speed and heroin.

I simply stated that as refrence point to my way of thinking, money is nice it gets u col stuff but i am not driven soely by money our even much at al by it. as lame and pointless as this thread is I can't resist throwing in my two cents. You guys have mentioned some really shitty bands so far. Damn, I can't believe there are still people who listen to Limp Bizkit and Korn. Were they ever good?! A lot of really good people have "sold out" too you know. The day Jimmy Page collaborated with Puff Daddy was a very very sad day for me. Hell, even Pink Floyd sold out after Waters left. Santana also sold his soul so that he could retire with a lot of cash in his pocket. Honestly I think this whole issue is really pointless. Who gives a fuck what a band does to make their living?! It doesn't really change a thing when it comes to their music. The quality of their music will be the true judge of how good or bad a band is, fuck the fame and fortune end of it, thats for losers who mread magazines like Rolling Stone.

I think you are wrong Glowng-Eleven, we should only listen to what others tell us is cool, like people do..........Floyd built the wall to keep out the fans who the band believed did not understand their music, so he is indeed the perfect fan

that was only a small part of what the wall was based on..
Pink floyd is my favorite band actually and we will never really know exactly what the music is based on because they don't tell.. for a reason
so people use their melons if thats possible

A big ass wall seperating the musicians from the audience is not what I would call a small part of that album...And they do tell, old interviews with origional band members tell the story, Roger Waters actually says in one interview..I wanted to build something to seperate me from the fans, the fans didn't know what the music was about, they were rowdy and belligerent...

yes on stage they did build the actual wall for that reason
but the album is based on walls you build in life and what experiences condition you to do so, they built the wall on stage to prove peoples ignorance to the music...
so yes you are right but im talking about the album itself

After careful deliberation I'd have to say Britney Spears probly..
man i remember the good ole days.. baby one more time was just for the music right-- and has anyone surpassed those lyrics to this day???.. then all of the sudden she realized, "Hey i have boobs now" and its like she doesnt even write her own stuff any more.. and i heard she doesnt really sing her stuff at concerts.. lip syncs.. lyircs just suck, no depth.. what happened??
