I just picked up some coffee filters there disc-style for percolator and drip coffee makers .. will this work in my pint size jars for filtration or do i have to use tyvek?

these filters fit my mason jars perfect there about 3.5 inches in diameter no cutting needed.. but there very thin i was thinking of using 3 per jar just to be safe..????

will i be okay if i use the layer of verm then use three of my coffee filters on top of the metal disc then screw the metal ring on jar

If your doing wbs then they will not work. If your doing pf they should work ok. They thing is that coffee filters are not made to keep out little particles.

Coffee filters are poor for this hobby. Use polyfill from any fabrics section at Wally World or a fabric store. It's less than 2 bucks for a bag big enough to last a year or 2.

on a more serious note polyfil has the chance of getting wet and getting contams. yeah it is funny now that i think about it.

I've never, ever had a contaminate spore go through a polyfill filter and infect my seed. Never! I've even used it on LC lids as well with no problems.
