I want to do something relaxing.
    #4472189 - 07/30/05 01:53 AM (11 years, 4 months ago)

I can't think of one thing that would comfort me. What do you all do to relax? I don't have any drugs either.
drawing would just frustrate me. I'm thinking about reading the Da Vinci code. I know i'd never finish it though.

Somebody help, i'm out of ideas

I would read, but I guess you've already thought of that.

Without drugs... I'm at a loss.

Yeah, I would read if I were you and sober...otherwise, some video games. Or just writing random stuff. I just wrote for the first time in a while..just rambled outta my brain, put it in my journal. But it definitely relaxed me.

Opiates.

Or you could go on a walk through the woods, if you have any near you. Being in nature away from all the distractions is always relaxing to me.

I recommend reading a well written fiction book. That can really take your mind off things....

It's a real gift that fiction is available to us so easily now...I always think of way back in the olden days when there were storytellers that you counted on for fiction, plus your own imagination of course..but everyone wants to hear a really well-told story..and we're so lucky to have so many at our disposal so easily these days.

Yeah man seriously! After the most difficult trip of my life, on an eighth of shrooms which made me go fucking insane...we went out to this garden behind my friend's building and brought an ipod and some portable speakers and we listened to Glass' album called Glassworks..and I just was in complete peace. It was perfect end-of-trip music.

And then at the NE gathering after my first acid trip of the weekend I listened to Songs From liquid Days in my tent in my headphones.

I like to listen to music (i.e. Led Zeppelin) and move my body to the beat. Mostly I work from my ass. I know that sounds weird. I bet it looks weird, too. It's relaxing, though. I get lost in the music when my body is doing something. It occupies my wandering mind. Just let your body go and move as it wants. Before you know it, an hour will have passed and you'll feel a lot better. =)

Oh yeah.. I do this laying down on the couch or floor. Whatever I feel like. I often end up squirming around all over the place and changing positions.
