Would it be ok to raise temp ?
    #4470741 - 07/29/05 08:17 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Would it be ok to raise the temp in the fruiting chamber to 82.  So, that it would help bring up the humidity and at the same time get more humidity to the pins.  Strapped for cash till pay day. Just wanted to help the little fellas out.  Bye the way, the temp would be jumping by about 8 degrees +/- 2 .

Also I would like to say thank you all for answering my redundant questions.  Because they did finally pin even though I didn't believe they would.

Lavarock huh? Is that supposed to have the same effect as perlite?

Had heard that to some degree it was just as good as perilite

I think raising it to 82 might be a little to high. I dont know how you feel about ordering supples online, but a few vendors on here carry perlite. If I do cakes, I always use perlite. I think it works great. I also use a bubbler stone mainly for FAE, but it too contributes to RH. I hope that helped a little. GL, PEace  :jester:

I don't know, rh in this area of the mid south is 56. Am supposin' its about 70 in the tub.

When I first started this hobbie. I had only read the PF original. So I looked generaly online for it and could find it. Someone here was talking about lavarock with a bubler. Oh well, will look for a vender selling perilite.

For cakes you need 95-100% to have a really successful grow.

do you have condensation on your fruiting chamber? do the cakes look like they are drying out?

There is condensation on the chamber but not like it was when I had the temp elevated. The cakes don't seem to be dried out. The pins are growing at an astounding rate. Just figured more humidity would help.

By the way a friend(guinea pig) of mine tested out three fat asses last night and it was the best mood I've seen him in a while.
