Pinning Question PLease Read!

A Friend has some cakes in a terr. and they have been in there for about a week now, The humidity is at 95-100%. He is using perlite and hand spraying. They are starting to get fuzzy and no pins, also the temp stays about 65 - 75 deg inside. What should I tell him to do??

As long as the "fuzz" looks white your probably ok. It could very well be just a weaker strain of the myceum growing. Some confuse the fuzzy looking weaker strains (keep in mind that most current grow methods result in many many diferent strains being produced from one sryinge or print) as being gray cob-web mold. I may not be useing the term "strain" correctly here, but hopefully you know what I mean.

It's also possible that your seeing gray mold as well.

The fuzz is bright white brighter than the first Myc.

I seperated my cakes into two batches so I could try both the casing and the plain cake method. I'm on my second flush for the casing batch and the cakes just started pinning yesterday. Apparently, that method can take a lot longer sometimes.
