OK! all shroomerites from the scandinavian areas, its time to keep your eyes peeled, the chantarelle season has started.

this morning as i was out for my pre-brekkie jog, something litteraly stopped me in my tracks. right next to the jogging trail was a bunch of chantarelles! i couldn't believe my eyes  i immediately scoped them up and did a little survey of the area. nothing more. so i started running again, but with my eyes focused in the terrain this time.

and sure enough, just another km or so ahead i spotted something yellow and found a bigger cluster. i picked them and then said "fuck it" the exercise and continued deeper into the woods.

in just another 30 minutes i found two other sites (and i don't even know this forrest, i moved here this winter), but they are still to small to pick. but i recon in a week they will be fine. still i got enough for two persons today. so i'm happy.

so this is the wake up call! chantarelle season in here and the game is afoot, happy hunting!

Thick, sometimes chewy. I personally prefer the less aggressive tasting oyster mushrooms, although chanterelles are indeed divine.
