Thanks for the help before... progress?
    #4465782 - 07/28/05 08:39 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

After we messed with our grow-tub a bit (and increased the humidity level) based on the suggestions we got from people here, things went from stagnant to this:

The cottony-looking shit is what we're after, right? Please tell me this will probably produce, we're tearing our hair out here...

Thanks
MARV-o

You want Knots (primordia)...

That looks like overlay (or the becoming of)

If it's cottany - Then its Vegative Growth.

You don't want that...

Ya want the cotton to turn into little knots....Then those knots turn into Pins...

Did you case that? Or is that just the substrate....?

That was cased using vermiculite and coco coir. How could we get from what we have to what we want?

Been in the chamber almost 2 weeks. Our temperature is pretty steady at 73 F. We want LESS humidity?

We can drop the humidity very easily, it's dry here. we were under the impression high humidity was a good thing. We're using golden teachers, what temperature would be better for us?

Incubate at 80-84F

Fruit at 70-74F

You want a 10F drop in temp. to help initate pinning.

You always want good Gas exchange.

I'd personally Scrape and recase...

As an emergency procedure, I would scrape that casing down to the substrate, remove all of the casing mix, re-case, re-incubate for 5 days, and start over.

That's some serious overlay. If you leave it as is, your flush will suffer greatly.

it looks a bit dry to me.

i would do a lite scraping, flood it with clean h2o maybe 30 min. then drain.
try to keep RH around 85%.

some strains such as PR, KS, and Allen have vary aggressive mycelium, and should be put straight into the fruiting chamber after casing.
hope this helps
