testing spore syringe

I am sorry if this is a newbie question but I put it on the regular growing forum and seemed to stump everybody so I though I'd let you pro's at it. Is there any other way to test a spore syringe for contams besides innoculating a jar? If one was to do a honey water jar would they be able to tell if it was contaminated?

im not a pro by any means, but i think it would be difficult to be sure a syringe is clean. If you innoc. honeywater I hear that somtimes bateria can hide and not show up till you innoc. substrate.
I think more info on how exactly you made the syringe would be helpful ( i assume you made it cuz i belive most vendors garentee there's are clean.

I usually just do a two jars test. If they both get contaminated with the same color mold then it is, most likely, the spore syringe. If they both get contaminated with different colored molds then you must have really fucked up. If one gets contaminated and the other one didnt then it must have been your sterilization or innoculation tek.

There is no way to tell without innoculating something, be it an agar plate or your fruiting medium.
