sterilizing a casing layer without a microwave..

i dont have a microwave... any other ways to sterilize a casing layer?
Ill probably use 60/40 verm/cc or the jiffy mix

The oven would probably work, do it in an oven bag (for cooking turkeys). I haven't used verm/cc. I'm new and I like what everyone else here has done with pooh, so that's what I'm gonna try. GL2U!

I don't think he was saying that you should USE Poo..

But that you should do your casing the same if ya don't have a microwave.

you can use jiffy mix straight out the bag, after you have inspected it for holes of course.
it's a little more work, but you can pasteurize casing in a jar or bag, in boiling water.

I;ve done the jar thing before lol....

I like the oven bag idea better...Simply because they hold so much more...

But I guess jars are great for a single casing er two...:thumbup:
