meat in substrate?

What would powdered dry turkey do for a cake additive?
What about shaken up into a grain jar?
Would the tryptophan in the turkey would be good for something?
What do you imagine a good turkey/BRF or turkey/WBS ratio would be?

Even if it worked you would be opening up your substrate to a whole new world of contaminates.

I must be missing something. If you PC powdered (dried) turkey in your substrate, how will any contams survive? I would just think that adding turkey would be expensive and not really worth it. Are you sure about added contamination?

I used beef boullion and gelatine to make agar for a while, IMO, if you PC it it
shouldnt contam and I say its worth a try, although the tryptophan may have
been destroyed (somewhat) by the processing unless your doing DIY powdered turkey

Wouldn't adding turkey to your substrate risk providing a breeding ground for bacteria like Campylobacter and Salmonella? I wouldn't take the chance when there are other additives that can be used.

Yeah, that would be my concern. Using meat would leave you open to a bunch of different bacterias, some of which may be much more dangerous to a human, then the stuff growing on the BRF, or WBS.

salmonella, probably not, but I've always believed that if you have a fwe CCs to spare in a syringe then you should be willing to play around

I'll put it on the "to try" list. Right now it would be hard to make some good powdered turkey (DIY) without a dehydrator. I think you are right that processed turkey jerky would probably not work very well.

I really don't see bacteria being a problem. I mean, jerky has a very long shelflife on its own; if it is PCed properly I don't see how chances of getting bacteria would be any higher.
