It sucked, I was lookin forward to tripping so much and so I bought some shrooms and today I split them with 3 of my friends (a very big 8th, close to a 4th) and sat and wait for it to hit us. This was all of our first time. I thought it'd be a good idea to get some apple juice and just swallow the mushrooms without chewing by downing with apple juice. so I did that, i must've gotten 2 grams or somethin like that. We waited for like 2 and a half hours, and still we felt nothing, so we got pissed off and thought it's probably fake shit... then I went to smoke some weed, and that was pretty intense; we did smoke a lot but I'm not sure whether I had a little of the shrooms kicking in. So I'm wondering what did I do wrong? was it fake or did I take the shit in wrong? It was the wet kind which I heard from the dealer that you're supposed to eat. Would it have made a difference if I had chewed it up and then swallowed it?

chewing it and holding it in your mouth is the best.... but i would think that even if you swallowed them it would have just taken longer but they would have kicked in

Yeah, it sounds like you got some beat shit. But for future reference, you definitely want to chew each piece as much as possible. You want to help your body break it down,BEFORE it enters your stomach. It helps your body assimilate the magic, before it passes into your intestines.

if they were wet... 1/4 (7g) of wet shrooms between you and one friend (two esp.) wouldn't do much at all. that's a dry doseage  . better luck next time man.. don't give up - it's worth it!

Okay, so how much should I eat of wet shrooms if I wanna get a level 2/3 trip? I know there are SO many newbies asking "how many grams should I take to get a level 5?" and shit like that, but sorry, i just have to ask again. Also, you think that I should get dried mushrooms instead?

I wouldn't be 'buying' shrooms myself, but I understand not everyone can grow. If I were to buy shrooms I would go to erowid's vaults and make sure you know what you are looking for so your chances of getting ripped are lower.
For a level 3 trip with wet shrooms I would eat between 15-20 grams and for dry weight I would eat 3 grams.

holy shit, 15 grams? Yeah, if i were to buy that, it'd probably cost like $70 or so. Would dried be a lot cheaper? And also do you put the dried under your tongue or is that a different thing? How do you consume dried?

No offense dude but it doesn't sound like you've researched this enough, but I'm not a preacher, but I can recommend reading erowid.org's mushroom vaults. Dry shrooms are just as good as wet when they are dried properly, since they are holding little or no moisture they are lighter, just grind them up and swallow them in some juice or something.

If you bought an eighth, then they should have been dried. Generaly that is what is implied since an eighth of wet shrooms would be hardly anything. If they were wet, then you got screwed by not getting enough.

You paid way too much. Granted, prices vary, but most people get a dried 8th for about $30 where I live. And I think even that is too much. Dealers sell wet shrooms because they weigh alot more, so they can sell fewer mushrooms for more money. Keap in mind the dry weight of a mushroom is about 1/10th of its wet weight.
