recovering from a bad trip
    #4460985 - 07/27/05 07:25 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

i never thought the day would come where i would have a bad trip. but on a unprepared 7gram dose i lost my mind and found myself gripping to the bed sheets. i could not see or feel my body and i was fearing my body was out doing something that might harm me. buti had no control and thats what made me flip out. its been a year since the experience and i still think about it everyday. and how i could improve. tonight i want to reintrodue myself to the mushrooms. i plan on a 1.75gram dose. i have a good playlist ready with some very up-beat music. its been so long since ive eaten mushrooms ive almost forgotten what to expect. im excited/nervous at the same time, but i think the low dose should be just what i need to bring me back to the mushroom realm that i used to thrive on. wish me luck

Wow, I am very proud of you for "getting back on the horse!"  It's never an easy thing to get over a difficult trip.  Tripping again on a lower dose definitely helped me recover from a scary trip.

Golden travels, man!  May you reunite with the rainbow.  :mushroom2:

I'm ready to trip hard again after only a week.

The day after my mind-blowing trip I said I was gonna be a "social tripper" on low dosages but I really do not think so because I am a psych-o-naut.

Dont worry about it, it happened to me a few weeks ago because I got too confident and wasn't in the right mood. It just keeps you on your toes and reminds you to keep respecting them

Bad trips can be very difficult... the most important thing, though, is understanding why you had a bad trip, and then learning from that. There's a LOT one can learn from a bad trip.

It's good that you aren't being too hasty about diving straight back into shrooms. Take it easy for a while; low-dose, and don't trip too often. It's always a smart thing to be safe and comfortable.

Good luck!
