well the reason most people (who take psychedelics for the right reasons) take psychedlics is to learn about themselves, better themselves, enjoy their life, and have fun
i wanted to know what everyone has learned, and what they have done to make their lives better and better the lives of those around them?
i personally have discovered through my use of psychedelics the importance of being a pure, good person with true intentions i am trying to improve my life and others around me with my understanding of the world and things, by being a pure person, not falling into material traps, standing up for what i believe in etc.
please share youre experiences

Hey, welcome viedub. I dread writing long posts. Especially when I'm repeating myself. so I will say for me it's finding a path with heart. And my path with heart is unconditional loving.

I am in the same boat as you.
The things you mentioned are the same with me. But i also like to use the mushroom experiance to even further my mental development. It helps me to explore my mind, the world.
It seems as though i can understand complex things with more ease than when i am not tripping. I usually use trips to cleanse my body when i start to feel like i am getting sucked into societys stereotypes and prejudice.

"not falling into material traps..."
I dunno, man... I've been focussing on alot of immaterial things... And I've noticed that material things are not all that bad.
Hell, some material things are just plain fun to have...
I really have no issues with the material.
...OOhhhh...
Nice material...
Where'd you get it?

I have learned many things, but one I will mention is that I have learned to speak with integrity. I try to say what I mean without sugar coating it and to live by what I say. I also avoid gossip and spreading verbal poison among my fellow humans. Thsi is speaking with integrity.

A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

You're being modest. I would say your batting is much better and fairly often you hit one out o the park.

"become much simpler, focused, and clear..."
Keeping things simple, being focused and clear are definately admirable traits to develop.
I use those traits myself...
One of the things I do to better my life and self worth is to excercise routinely. It not only makes me less tired when performing routine tasks, but it helps me feel good about myself.
I try to work towards my potential often.
When I do, as a result, my life slowly gets better.
Rather nice side effect.

From reading your posts, I often am reminded of my mother. Which in this case is a complete compliment. She is probably the wisest person I have ever been in a relationship with up to this date. And she turns everything into humour, and funny humour at that!
{edit} - to stay on topic I would say that all of you have shared something similar to what I have found in psychedelics. I feel that it really helps me see the path of my heart (although it is totally up to me whether I walk the path or not). I also feel a real connection to Nature and the Oneness of life while on mushrooms, this has definitely outlives the effects of the substance, and has implanted itself into me. In turn I have really changed how I perceive the world, and put most of my effort into treating my surroundings with love and respect. Now of course, being a human, I do not always succeed. But I definitely have changed myself (partly because of experiencing mushrooms) and really love who I am.
p.s. Did I just sort of go off there.... Can't quite tell.
