pink gills??

My friend's dog groomer just harvested the belated but healthy first few caps off his latest round of cakes, and umm, the gills on them are pink. They have never been pink before, so, uh, what the hell? Anyone have this happen to them before?

White gills are normal before spore production but not pink. Wait a few hours after the caps are fully open and make prints. The spores should be dark brown and almost black with a tiny bit of purple coloration. The gills should be black when dropping spores. If they stay pink, you have the wrong shroom.

cant be the wrong shroom, he's been growing the same kind for a year now. Maybe its just a fluke
