    #4451829 - 07/25/05 05:21 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

A friend of mine who has grown for a while was saying if you grow a small section of grass in your fruiting chamber next to a casing its supposed to help the enviornment in there and produce more shrooms is this true?

If you put your head to the grass, you can hear it growing

the only advntae i could see is the production of oxygen. yeah it would be good but you can get air exchange other ways without adding the risk of a contam.

Grass will provide O2, in which has an effect on pinning.

FME contaminated substrates can sometimes be saved by fruiting them in the open air.
case with unsterilized potting soil, and sprinkle it with rye grass seed.
do not incubate. the rye grass will help with humidity, and any access moisture.
