There are also variations in baeocystin(sp?). The combo of the three can change the feeling the trip may give.

Of the strains my born-to-be-wild camel has ingested, mazatapecs have been his favorite. Potency as such, is comparable to other strains, but the deep spiritual experiences, to him, is the most marked feature of this strain. Ingesting them and going out among nature - trees, birds, animals - is a beautiful experience. My camel will never look at a tree or a dog or a plant's seed the same way again. I know from several posts on this site that these *appear* to be Ryche Hawk's personal favorite - at least, he too emphasizes the spritual aspects of them.

The notion that they are low-yielding is absolutely not true. They are as simple/difficult to grow as other traditional cubies.

My camel, in turn, wonders if OTHER Mexican strains are as spiritual as these are, as has been rumored. He has no doubt remaining that Maz are very spiritual; he has heard that all Mexican strains seem to be that way and he wonders if that is the case.

That's a valid question Enter - I would refer you to the first 2-3 replies to this question in this post. A few psychoactive chemicals in psilocybin mushrooms are identified; there are believed to be other potentially active agents not yet identified, and furthermore, in every strain of psychoactive mushrooms the levels of these three vary, which I guess results in different experiences.

I was very happy to see this post from you, because something I have been trying to elicit reaction from for the LONGEST time was to ask those in the community who have personally bioassayed a number of different strains (or at least more than one), to compare their general experiences with those of others. You can never express even a fraction of what you feel during a trip, but generally, was it spiritual? Was it energetic? Was it dark? Was it psychoanalytical? Was it humorous? Etc......my thought is that this community is very valuable and we should be able to use our numbers as a strength to form some kind of consensus on what kinds of overriding experiences different strains produce, and how they vary from strain to strain. So far the response has been really minimal, which saddens me.

Maz is one of my friends personal favs too. Extremely visual/spiritual, everytime he took them it was a very memorable experience. He's never gotten better visuals off of cubes. Wondering how the other mexican strains are? He'll try them someday.

Yes I have spiritual beliefs but I don't beilive I said the Maz's are spiritual in this thread....
But to answer your Question they make me feel real happy Really uplifted and they have awesome visual to go along with the Supremely peaceful vibe. Great all around not the easiest thing to put into words..However since you really seem intersted in em I suggest you try em yourself.
As for other strains I'll give you a vibe description...
The Thai ks are quite strong and speedy but not really a powerful expierence in a visual sense. Don't get me wrong you do get visuals just not real heavy eye candy. It's mostly a body trip and They don't last that long"the effects" Although they seem like they do at the time.
Not very experienced with Equador but I can say they are more potent and much more visual. They got legs. Also a good vibe and eyecandy galore stronger than most cubie's.
I still like the Mazatapecs though...
Maybe someday I'll get some more experience with the Eq's
