Am I sloppy?

A friend bought some syringes from captain max a while back. None of the jars escaped contamination. Every time he innoculated the jars, he heated the needle and used alcohol to cool the needles and used the Oven method. Could it be the syringes? Do others have luck with captain max?

How did you prepare the jars? How long and how did you sterilize them? Where did the contamination first show up? What kind of contamination was it?

The jars were brf/verm, they were boiled in a pot for an hour or more. Contamination showed up very soon after innoculation, but I cant remember where it was as it was many months ago. But it was kind of dark green/grey colour.
