good luck!!!
I've heard of one source a while back and they guy wanted an insane price for just a few. Plus, I heard that they are hard to geminate so you could spend a lot of money getting them and then still grow nothing.

I have an e. novogranatense which is a legal variety of the coca plant. I should post a photo one of these days.

No wonder coke is so expensive! The cartels have cornered the coca seed market too.

I should have some novo seeds soon . They're not that expensive, really. More expensive than most seeds, but it is a cool, rare plant, and I think it's worth the price of the seeds to own a few plants.

You have to be at the right altitude for the alkaloids to develop, I believe.

Hum they are picky as hell when then start out. Very important to have a humid environment for the first month for the seed to pop and release leaves. They are sensitive to levels of heat >90F, don't mind moist soil. This is at least the novatense strain. No probelms from getting the seeds to germinate, they all germinate very easily in proper conditions of humidity. Just keep the soil damp and covered with saran wrap or in a humity dome from the start.

I got a bunch some time back. Many folks here told me they wouldnt germinate and if any did that I wouldnt be able to keep them alive due to the fact that they arent very adaptable. I had 14 out of 20 germinate and they are all about 6 inches tall now and doing great...Soon as I get my digi back I`ll post a pic.
It should be noted that I got very lucky and ended up scoring fresh berries that were just plucked...I would imagine your best bet is E. Novo seeing as these are very rare and not to mention very expensive.

I got mine from the d boutancy one. Out of the 16, I think all of them sprouted here on the west coast. I got lazy and only 3 are alive now, but they are all big and strong. I had like 10 growing fine but then I didn't leave the latter ones to humidity and so they shiveled up and died. I didn't really give since I don't need 16 of the plants. I have 3 and they are pretty good right now, they don't seem to mind 90-F weather? I try to mist them every once in awhile and give them 1000W of metal halide.
Here are the photos for the three babies.
Note these things just cost as much as weed seeds, so it isn't really that expensive at all.

for those with the gren thumb, a good project indeed (& perhaps a greenhouse in most of USSA!)...
'tis trifling easy, tho, to obtain whole leaf, teabags, powdered leaf, and other forms from peruvian retailers & wholesalers online... and quite reasonable $$$ if you shop around for the bargains imho... (i'm gonna go get 2 teabgs soaking in dilute baking soda solution & suck on 'em right now, eh?)
