crying
    #4444059 - 07/23/05 06:16 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

...I just had a good honest long cry. I have not done that in a loong time

It is such a great feeling, while sadness can be unpleasant, this is actually a pleasant feeling, because it is digestion of pain. It is such a relief.

It's like when you cry, everything stops for a moment, it's all over, all your battles are over, all your defenses are down, you are stripped from all that you THINK you are, all your social roles, ego images etc. etc. It allso feels like you are relieved of all struggles, it's like some big hand pulls you out of this life and says: ok, you had enough, that's enough for now, rest now. In a way it feels like being connected to your true nature, your source.

I didn't have enough of it really, I feel 50 kilograms lighter, yet I feel as if there is some more left, like it is unfinished. But I could not cry any longer, so I just stoped. And I'm not even sure why did I cry in the first place (allthough I do have theories, like always )

It is allso funny how, laughing and crying mix together, one moment I was laughing, the next I was crying like a child. I think these two emotions are not oposite, in fact they are quite similar.

You may be onto a get-rich-quick scheme here. I will help you market the OldWoodSpecter Weight Loss Program. It would include onions and pepper, a DVD of the classic Disney tearjerker, "Old Yeller" and ...

Sometimes when I'm alone I Cry, Cause I am on my own. The tears I cry are bitter and warm. They flow with life but take no form I Cry because my heart is torn. I find it difficult to carry on. If I had an ear to confiding, I would cry among my treasured friend, but who do you know that stops that long, to help another carry on. The world moves fast and it would rather pass by. Then to stop and see what makes one cry, so painful and sad. And sometimes... I Cry and no one cares about why. - Tupac Amaru Shakur

"while sadness can be unpleasant"

What a negative attitude...make your sadness fun!!!

Crying is supposed to be good for, actually. It gets rid of a lot of bad stress chemicals in your body, or at least, so I've read....

I have heard that the chemical compositition of tears is different than when your eyes just water. Now isn't that interesting.

Crying washes the soul. Good for you Old. I like your description of what crying is like.

I like to skip funerals, which to me are morbid, and head stright for the wake.

We will see if this holds up under the loss of someone very close to me. :mushroom2:

Don't worry, honey.  I'm not going to have a funeral.  Just throw a big BBQ after my cremation.

I think I would have to take some time alone in the desert. My heart is so into yours, It would be a truly cosmic moment were you to die before me.  :mushroom2:

i've been wanting to cry for a couple months now. when i'm in a safe place and i feel as if i'm just on the verge of tears flowing down my face it all stops and goes away. not being able to cry feels like i'm being punished.

Odd

(oh,I see the insinuation that we can enjoy crying for the body's nattural responses?)

...and we can derive that the enjoyment of remorse gives vallidation to action.
