when using this tek he says (towards the bottom) mix colonized substrate in with past. dung in a container..then wait to 100% colonize.......after mixing how do you keep the container when waiting to colonize 100%????
do you cover with foil and poke holes??? what about fanning???
i've tried a very similar method with holes poked and seemed to get alot of contams b-4 100%colonization

i wrote a bunch of bull here but the following is my favorite part... i'll keep it here just for amusement :wink:

... of course since you're mixing colonized substrate with new shit... maybe you should - shit i don't kno... i should never have gotten involved in this post =P  and as for a foil cover... make sure it's tight and only put like one hole in it for some air exchange

You could put it in a sealed plastic bag. Polyethylene plastic is permeable to oxygen so there is no need to vent. Newly cased substrate produces a lot of CO2 for the first few days so you might want to air it out once a day at the start.
