Help Identifying 3 types of GA mushrooms
    #4438156 - 07/22/05 01:20 PM (18 years, 7 months ago)

All of these mushrooms were found in the same general area in a grassy area shaded by trees. It rained all day yesterday, so I was pretty sure I would find something. I believe the ones with the upturned caps may be infested with maggots. I have found mushrooms like this before that were infested, but so far I haven't seen any maggots in these mushrooms. Those are also very slimy on the tops, and I have seen no bruising on any of the types. Pictures were taken shortly after picking/cleaning.

I will be going out of town for about a week after today, so if there are any questions you need to ask first then I'll try to reply ASAP.

pcs are too blurry to get a good look at the gills so hard to say for sure. I can tell you none are active or edible, and all 3 are pretty common for our area. Someone might be better identifying them than me but again there not active for sure... Take a spore print and that would make it alot easier to tell you what they are

To find active mushrooms you need to go where the active mushrooms are growing!
