My First Chantrelles

I found these 50 yards from my house, and I would have picked alot more, but I was taking my nephew hiking, and I didn't have a bag. Well, If I would have known they were so abundant, so close to me, I would have been out hunting weeks ago. :smile:

I'm looking forward to trying these, and of course collecting more. This is seriously just scraping the surface of what is out there.

Wonderfull finds.Go get more!! They shrink allot when you saute them.
After you saute them,try tossing them with some fresh lemon juice and some parsley flakes. :smile:

Yea, that's seams to always be the problem, bugs (usually fly larva). :undecided:

you say you found those in a forest, have you checked those for bugs, don't worry, they wont hurt you

Good stuff. I swear if you walked in the woods last week you would be attacked by tribes of aboriginals shooting these mushrooms from cannons.

I found these after spotting them from my back porch. I spent 5 minutes collecting them, and left twice as many in the woods. I think I was just blessed with a major Chant patch off my back deck! :heart:

Oh man, and thats what I had left after having garlic butter chants over rice. mmm mmm good.
