if you happen to have cartoon network, check out cowboy bebop at 12EST tonight (thu.)
the episode is called 'mushroom samba.'
although it is not entirely concerned with with the visual aspect of cubes, it's a surprisingly accurate account, and the animation is unsurpassed, anyway.
this is the first time these babies have received worthwhile attention on tv, in my exp.

btw, if you dont get cartoon.net, you can dl the episode off morpheus.....

just to make this post cultivation related:
1.anyone know what to do with birdseed if you dont have flax?
1a. is brf necessary?

2.when using liquid mycelia culture, should syringes contain the fluffs of myc, or just the liquid?

1a. of course not
2. i'm not sure but i dont think it matters. just so long as it doesnt clog up the needle.

My friend was just telling me about that. Also if you watch DBZ, theres there giant (100 ft tall) pink mushrooms all over this one place (i think the underworld or wherever)

1-> The primary thing in birdseed that you want in the millet (yellow/tan/white little balls about 2mm in diameter)
1a->never heard of using brf with birdseed, would make it more of a cake though which you don't want if you want to easily case it or do grain to grain xfers.
2->the more fluffy the better, but shake it side to side violently to break the fluff up before innoc so you got millions of little pieces of mycelem all through that syringe

damnit i missed it . aname and cartoons is like the only time i ever even watch tv or reciently the news but thats only occasonaly but i do always watch the midnight run if im home . peace

You definately want to see the mycillium puffs in the needle. The more the merrier. If you can't see any it doesn't mean it isn't going to colonize but if you can your pretty much guranteed a quick start at colinization.
