Back to growing.....Have old DB compost....
    #443953 -

Hey everyone.....
unfortunatley, my first few attempts at growing were unsuccessful. I have 2 of the huge bags of Dung Brothers composts and the 2 containers to grow the boomers in. I was curious, is the compost still good? its probably around 8 months old. Its unopened and was stored in a cool area. Is this compost still good? It was damn expensive and i dont wanna just throw it out. In fact, id actually like to grow some fucking shrooms with it!! So, is this compost still good and does ryche still sell the rye berry bags?
thanks
God Bless America
peace

This might nelp....

Before I used my compost - I put the bags in the oven on some pizza pans at cooked them at 180 F for about 1.5 hours. There was still plenty of moisture left in the bags...

This might help sterilize the bags a little if there was any contam. I dunno - but it wouldnt hurt.

Oh - make sure the bags dont touch the sides of the oven or anything...they might burn!

My compost is flourishing...

Proteus is right. If it looks good then just pasteurize it and you should be good to go. (1.5-2 hrs will do the trick)I don't know if Ryche still sells the rye berries. He probably does.Either way, you can also make yourself some BRF jars, and use those to spawn the compost.
