Interesting you say that. Proudhoun once said "Anarchy is order," which is believed to be the inspiration for the anarchy symbol, in which there is an "A" superimposed over an "O."

That site doesn't have anything about Benjamin Tucker. He's probably my favorite anarchist.

To me, the fact that the A is over the O represents the breaking of society, to break free of the mould, and the status-quo.

I wouldn't dare soil a brick by letting it near their god-awful food.

I like anarchy as a personal lifestyle more than as a political concept. It's more fun to live by your own rules, even if you have to face the consequences of someone else's.

What a brilliant and witty analysis.

I'll stick with organized government, b/c I wouldn't last a month in anarchism unless I sold what I didn't need and bought weapons with the money. I'm not ruthless enough to succeed in that type of society.

That is the point, it doesn't deserve an analysis.

So what you're saying is that you refuse to give the subject any in-depth thought?

Oh, I see. So by refusing to analyze it and refusing to inform yourself in any meaningful manner about the subject, you have come to the conclusion that there is absolutely nothing of value to be gained by examining the arguments for and against it? That is a fascinating way of coming to a decision and probably works very well when your girlfriend is choosing curtains for your apartment and asks for a token opinion. So what color did she decide on?

Not quite accurate. It doesn't require MUCH analysis to determine it is an unworkable system for any but small and isolated groups of like-minded individuals, but that analysis must still be made.

By educating ourselves on the ideas of various kinds of anarchists, and of past anarchist societies we can gain some understanding of how certain things in society may be addressed with less or no government involvement. We also learn that in certain instances it has worked for long periods and why it has failed - but then the permanence of any political system is in doubt when we examine history.

This is correct. It is possible to learn things from studying past Anarchists just as it is possible to learn things from studying past Communists. However, Anarchy qua Anarchy remains an unworkable system except as I noted above.
