old jars

Saw a question a few months back on how long you can wait to innoculate a sterilized jar. I forgot 6 jars after sterilizing about 6 weeks ago. One jar was contaminated and I innoculated the rest 6 days ago, they are colonizing normally so far.

sterilizing them makes them last much longer

so....what kinda jars where they?? substrate wise and all that good stuff. i've heard you shouldnt wait longer then a month. good experiment though
